Post-Doctoral Research Fellow In Social Demography

Full-Time Position Starting Fall, 2015

The T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics (https://thesanfordschool.asu.edu/) invites applications for a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Associate with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2015. Subsequent annual renewal is possible on a fiscal year basis (July 1-June 30) for up to four years contingent upon performance, the needs of the center and university, and the availability of resources. The purpose of this position is to work with faculty, students, and other researchers at the Center for Population Dynamics (CePoD) (https://thesanfordschool.asu.edu/cepod). By time of appointment, successful candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in sociology, economics, human development, public health, demography, or related field and have substantive and methodological training in research related to population migration in international settings. In addition to migration, substantive experience with another research area that is a focus of CePoD—population and environment, fertility, or family demography—is preferred. Responsibilities of this position include contributing to ongoing projects (design, data collection and analysis), preparing proposals for new research projects, writing collaborative manuscripts, and carrying out independent research.
